About Sentience Mental Health
Erin Sachse, M.Ed., LCPC, LMHC
Owner, Clinical Director, & Psychotherapist
Erin saw that pattern everywhere. After a career in marketing, she went looking for work that truly meant something. She kept seeing the same thing: people pushing their pain inward, pulling away from the people they loved, going through the motions of a life that didn’t quite feel like theirs anymore. She knew she could help.
Sentience Mental Health was built on a deeply felt belief: that our modern lives require us to feel more, not less. That connection isn’t optional. That feeling your feelings is not only possible; it’s the whole point.
Our name reflects that. Sentience: The capacity to sense, to feel, to be fully alive in your own life. That capacity lives in all of us. Sometimes it just needs a little help waking up.
We approach every client—adults, children, teens, young adults, couples, and families—with acceptance, genuine empathy, and an honest belief in their ability to change. As Carl Rogers put it, “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
We've built a collaborative team around that idea, and we bring it to every session, every client, and every conversation.
Our Mission
The mission at Sentience Mental Health is clear: We see the biggest threat to living a well life is the isolation and loneliness that we experience as humans. We fight against the standards and patterns that keep us feeling less than. We have the privilege of holding space that allows us to offer compassionate, cutting-edge therapy to guide healing, inspire hope, and set new standards in mental wellness.
We believe in you. It’s the only place to start.
Somewhere along the way, most of us got the message that the right move is to push it down, numb it out, and just keep going. It works for a while. But eventually that “thing” shows up, in your body, in your relationships, in the low hum of exhaustion that no amount of sleep seems to fix.
Our Values
Compassion
We meet every client with genuine empathy and zero judgment, because feeling safe is where real change begins.
Connection
We show up for each other and for you, because nobody does their best work alone, and neither should you.
Inclusion
We welcome clients of all backgrounds, identities, and life experiences, because good therapy has no dress code.
Results-Oriented
Warmth without accountability is just comfort. We pair real compassion with honest tools that help you change your life.
