Who do you work with?

Why do people go to therapy, and how do I know if it's right for me?
People come to psychotherapy for all kinds of reasons. Sometimes it’s a major life transition, a divorce, a new job, or a loss. Sometimes it’s the quieter stuff, the low hum of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, addictions, relationship problems, spiritual conflicts, and creative blocks. There’s no wrong reason to show up.
Therapy can provide real encouragement and practical skills to help you get through the hard stuff. Some people are ready to learn more about themselves. Others want to be more effective in reaching their goals. Most people are just ready to stop feeling the way they’ve been feeling.
In short, people who come to therapy are ready to meet their challenges head-on and make some real changes. If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place. Book a free consultation to get started.
What is therapy like?
Honestly? It’s different for everyone, and that’s the point. Therapy is a personalized process shaped by your unique concerns, goals, and life context.
Sessions typically involve talking through what’s going on right now, exploring the patterns and experiences that got you here, and figuring out what you want to be different. Some people need short-term, focused support. Others are working through deeper patterns that take more time. Either way, what you put in shapes what you get out.
Meaningful progress depends on showing up, and not just in the room. Therapy is most powerful when it spills into your everyday life. Your therapist may suggest things to try between sessions, like journaling, reading, tracking certain patterns, or taking small concrete steps toward your goals. The clients who get the most out of it are the ones willing to look at themselves honestly, stay open to new perspectives, and take ownership of their own change.
That’s really all it takes.
